School Uniform
We encourage students at Arawang Primary School to wear school uniform.
In particular we ask that children should be in school uniform for any "Public Occasion" when they are going out into the wider community and representing our school.
We would like them to feel a sense of pride in identifying with Arawang, but even more importantly, when children are all out together in a crowd, there is a real safety factor in being able to easily identify Arawang children.
The uniform was developed by a committee of parents. This committee worked hard to make it economical, comfortable and appealing to the children. Many of the items like shirts and sweaters are available through the larger chain stores. This helps keep prices as low as possible.
Parents are encouraged to use the clothing pool to purchase and re-cycle good quality uniform items.
Arawang students are encouraged to wear hats and protective sunscreens whilst on the school playground and at outdoor activities and excursions. The School Board has endorsed a SunSmart Policy which reflects the recommendations of the ACT Cancer Society.

These items are available from uniform shops and the school clothing pool.
The clothing pool is located next to the stage end of the hall opposite the senior stairwell. New and used uniform items are available, as well as hats and school bags. New surf hats are also available from the canteen.

2:45pm - 3:15pm Monday
8:45am - 9:15am Thursday
The Clothing Pool also sells donated second hand clothing at very reasonable prices. Please leave your contributions at the Clothing Pool if we are open, or at the Front Offfice
